School ActivitiesWe have around 350 students currently enrolled in morning and evening shifts, with 90% students free.
Our organisation views education as a process rather than just acquiring certain skills. Efforts are being made to improve the quality of schooling through establishing an innovative curriculum that addresses human rights education and life skills. Our approach is to set standard educational practices in order to achieve improvements and innovation in educational practice. |

The program activities for these students include:
Free and Quality Education to poor and abused children
We ensure that our curriculum is of the national standard, language skills, science, social studies and mathematics. With additional emphases on teaching life skills like critical thinking, creative thinking, and problem-solving skills etc. As well as, human rights and civic education.
Free books and stationary
We provide students free course books and stationary for everyday use in school, each child has his/her own set. However, we do not have a proper library and look forward to build one for the students and the community.
Workshops for teachers on teaching methods
It is important to improve teaching we much improve teacher education; therefore our teachers are given free workshops on various teaching topic twice in a month.
Computer Education
The necessity of learning and using computers is undeniable in this era; we are trying our best to teach students computing skills for their better future.
Free medicines and vaccinations
These include polio vaccine, other essential vaccines and vitamin supplements and free medicines for flu, diarrhea, cough and fever.
Monthly dental and paediatric check-up
Dental and regular general check-up is one of our priorities to keep students healthy.
Counselling for abused children
Special attention is given to students from broken home, or those who have been sexually abused or beaten. Psychologists are invited to counsel them and boost their self- esteem and confidence.
Monthly educational trips
These trips include visit to factories, exhibitions, parks and museums. Once month students are taken to these places so they get exposure and enhance their learning about life.
Monthly recreational activities within the school
We have a yearly calendar that has a list of recreational activities, in order to develop life skills and certain hobbies. These include colour days like orange day, green day, earth day, sports day, music day, painting competition etc.
